Roller lugs failure analysis and elimination

Fault symptom 1:

The roller rotation is not flexible

1. Cause analysis: bearing damage

Exclusion method: Replace the bearing

2. Cause analysis: the bearing clearance is too small

Exclusion method: Remove the auxiliary hub and adjust the bearing clearance with a round nut  

3. Cause analysis: seal damage, bearing cavity dirt

Exclusion method: clean the bearing, replace the seal, and inject an appropriate amount of grease

Symptom 2:

The wheels are open

1. Cause analysis: the hinge sleeve under the swing frame is worn and the gap is large

Exclusion method: Replace the new set and hinge shaft

2. Cause analysis: the bearing clearance is too large

Exclusion method: Remove the auxiliary hub and adjust the bearing clearance with a round nut

Fault symptom 3

The roller hub is overheated

Cause analysis: Lack of grease in the bearing

Exclusion method: Inject an appropriate amount of grease

Fault symptom 4:

Rubber wheels wear out quickly and are easily damaged

Cause analysis: The contact between the roller and the tank channel is too tight-cause analysis: the bearing lacks grease

Exclusion method: Adjust the roller to contact the tank road, and do not add pre-load 

Fault phenomenon 5: The buffering effect is reduced or fails

1. Reason analysis: long-term use, low stiffness of butterfly spring

Elimination method: increase the pre-load deformation of the butterfly spring or replace the butterfly spring

2. Cause analysis: butterfly spring shattering

Exclusion method: Replace the butterfly spring  

3. Cause analysis: the hinges of the swing frame and buffer cylinder are corroded and cannot be rotated

The roller lugs should be regularly maintained, the bearing of the roller lugs should be filled with grease once every 6 months, the roller, bracket, spring buffer device, and base should be inspected once a year, and the thread, spring, and axle pin should be re-filled with grease.

Introduction to roller lugs

According to the wear of the roller, the roller should be adjusted by loosening the screw lock nut, rotating the screw to make the roller lean against the tank road, the gap is 0~2mm, and the lock nut should be tightened after adjustment.


Precautions of roller lugs

The roller spindle jack screw, nut, shaft end nut and other fasteners should be checked regularly to see whether they are fastened, whether the roller is loose, whether the roller runs and wears, and whether the swing frame is deformed.If quality problems are found, they should not be disassembled by themselves, and should be negotiated with the dealer to repair or return them, or contact the company directly.


Introduction to roller lugs

The roller lugs are mainly composed of rollers, brackets, spring buffer devices, bases, etc. The spring buffer device is composed of an adjusting sleeve, an adjusting screw, a nut, a disc spring shaft, a guide sleeve, a parallel cap, a set screw, a disc spring, a flat key, a cylinder barrel, etc.

The roller can lug buffer device adopts a disc spring group, in line with the standard MT236-1991 of the Ministry of Coal, and its principle of action is that the roller is stressed through the bracket, adjusting sleeve, adjusting screw, and disc spring shaft applied to the disc spring, and the buffer is realized by the disc spring shaft upward and downward movement release and compression of the disc spring group.

The disc spring shaft moves up and down in the guide hole at the bottom of the guide sleeve and the cylinder barrel, and the lower end of the disc spring shaft is milled with a key way, and the disc spring shaft cannot rotate under the action of the flat key at the bottom of the cylinder barrel. The guide sleeve is screwed into the cylinder barrel and the disc spring shaft is pressed to make the shoulder of the disc spring shaft compress the disc spring, The guide sleeve is locked with a cap in order to be safe and reliable, and it is drilled and tapped, and fastened with a set screw.

During operation, due to the wear of the adhesive layer of the roller, the roller is adjusted by adjusting the screw to make the roller tilt forward and close to the tank road. One end of the adjusting screw is a left-handed thread and the other end is a right-handed thread, which is screwed into the adjusting sleeve and the disc spring shaft respectively, loosen the nut at the lower edge of the adjusting screw when adjusting, turn the adjusting screw counter-clockwise, the screw is screwed out, the roller forward close to the tank road, and tighten the nut under the adjusting screw after adjustment.


Introduction to roller lugs

roller lugs, also known as cage buffers, are used for guiding buffers for mine hoisting vessels. At present, there are two kinds of roller lugs on the market: one is the hydraulic buffer, and the other is the disc spring buffer. The hydraulic buffer cylinder has oil leakage, and now our company has been upgraded to the disc spring buffer, which has 15 springs, to enhance the buffer effect while avoiding the occurrence of oil leakage. Our advantage is mainly that the wheel head adopts three locking joints, completely avoiding the occurrence of wheel head accidents. The wheel skin material is made of polyurethane, which is dust proof, oil-proof and tear-resistant. The other is the disc spring buffer.

Replace the traditional buffer structure with a hydraulic buffer, which has large bearing capacity, stable operation, high reliability, long life, and easy adjustment and maintenance.

The base and other parts are made of new materials with higher overall structural strength and strong impact resistance.

The buffer return pressure is small, which can effectively avoid an abnormal collision between the roller and the tank road. It is transmitted to the shock absorber cylinder through the lever and plays the role of guiding, cushioning and stabilizing at the same time.

The sliding friction between the tank tunnel and the can lug changes to rolling friction, so the power consumption is reduced, the noise is reduced, and the wear of the tank tunnel and the can lug is also greatly reduced. As a result, the service life of the tank tunnel and can lugs is increased.


Introduction to tank road wheels

The tank road wheel is a roller tank lugs for vertical shaft lifting container, and its structure is composed of a base, a swing arm, a roller and a buffer. Combined with the characteristics of China's mines, the roller tank lug provides convenient conditions for the replacement of new roller guides for the lifting container in current operation, which is widely used in mines, coal, and other industrial production sectors.
